Our mission is to prepare young men to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. The scouts learn in a safe and fun environment, guided and coached by the older scouts, under the watchful eyes of the adult leaders and parents.

Troop 511 is chartered to Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church. The troop is a member of the
Twin Bayou District within the Sam Houston Area Council (SHAC) of the Scouts BSA.
